Christine D’Clario: complete biography and discography with all her albums and songs

Some voices seem made to lead others into God’s presence, and Christine D’Clario’s is one of them. Born in New York with Puerto Rican roots, she grew up singing in the evangelical church, won an international song festival representing Puerto Rico, and built a bilingual career that took her from the Coliseo de Puerto Rico to tours with Chris Tomlin, with a Dove Award and a Latin Grammy nomination on her shelf. In this entry we tell her complete story and review her entire discography, album by album and song by song. If you want to listen to Christine D’Clario with her videos, here we also tell you where to find her Christian music all in one place.

1. Complete biography

A girl from Yonkers with Puerto Rican roots

Christine D’Clario was born on September 7, 1982, in Yonkers, New York, United States, into a family of Puerto Rican roots. When she was barely 6 years old, in 1988, her father died of liver cirrhosis, and her mother decided to move with her to Puerto Rico. There, Christine began attending an evangelical congregation and, from a young age, held leadership roles in the praise and worship ministry of her local church. Music was not a hobby: it was the place where her faith took root.

The festival that launched her

In 2004, representing Puerto Rico alongside Samuel David and Manolo Ramos, Christine won the award for “Best Performance” at the World Song Festival (the former OTI Festival). That same year she married Puerto Rican Carlos Caban, who has since been her manager and ministry partner. With musical training at the Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico and a degree in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University, Christine had the tools to turn her calling into a professional career.

Her recording breakthrough

Her recording career began in 2005 with her self-titled debut album, Christine D’Clario. With Solo Tú… Lo Único Que Quiero (2008) she went international thanks to hits like “Padre Nuestro”, “Tu Amor” and “Crea En Mí”. In 2011 she signed with Integrity Music and released De Vuelta al Jardín, nominated for a Dove Award, with anthems like “Como Dijiste”, “Él Nos Ama” and “Gloria En Lo Alto”. In 2013 she released Más Profundo and its English version Deeper, also nominated for a Dove and charting on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums and Latin Pop Albums lists.

Eterno Live: the Dove and the Latin Grammy nomination

In 2015 she recorded Eterno Live live at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico, before thousands of people. The album won the Dove Award for Spanish Album of the Year (2016) and was nominated for the 2016 Latin Grammy for Best Christian Album. A year later, in 2016, she published her book Corazón pródigo, where she shares her testimony of personal restoration.

Emanuel and the tour with Chris Tomlin

In 2018 she released Emanuel and was invited by Chris Tomlin to join the Worship Night in America tour, becoming the first Spanish-speaking Latin artist to take part in a national concert of the Anglo Christian market. Her ministry was already fully bilingual: worship in Spanish and English with the same anointing.

Hasta Poder Ver: inner healing made into song

In 2021 she released Hasta Poder Ver (and its English version All That Remains), a concept album born from her own inner healing process after going through postpartum depression. The song “Donde Está el Espíritu de Dios” won the Dove for Spanish Song of the Year 2021. That same year she founded The Christine D’Clario Foundation, dedicated to mental health and inner healing.

La Novia and the present day

In 2024 she recorded La Novia live at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico before 15,000 people, with guests like Elevation Worship, Miel San Marcos, Alex Zurdo and Montesanto. The single “Tantas Historias” won the 2024 Dove for Best Spanish Song. Today she lives in Dallas, Texas, with her husband Carlos and their two children, Ian Anthony and Kenzi Evangelina, and continues leading worship in two languages for a new generation.
