«God Is Your Refuge and Strength»: The Promise of Psalm 46 for Your Days of Storm

Por Matias

GOD IS YOUR REFUGE AND YOUR STRENGTH: NOTHING WILL MOVE YOU

📖 THE PROMISE

«God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.» — Psalm 46:1-2 (NKJV)

🕊️ THE WORD OF LIFE

The psalm does not say «if storms come», it says «in trouble»: trials are part of the journey, but so is the refuge. God did not promise a sea without waves; He promised to be your strength IN THE MIDDLE of them. When the bad news arrives, when the numbers do not add up or fear tightens your chest, there is a refuge that does not move: Him.

«We will not fear» is not a feeling, it is a decision born of knowing who is with you. The earth may tremble and the mountains may fall into the sea, but whoever runs to God finds a help that is present, prompt and real. Today you do not need to have all the answers: you need to run to your refuge. Calm does not come when the storm stops, but when you discover that He is in the boat with you.

🙏 THE DECREE OF FAITH

Today I decide to believe that God is my refuge and my strength. I walk with the certainty that I will not fear even if everything trembles around me, because my help is present and near. Today I rest in Him: my refuge is the God of Jacob, and He is with me.
