Lilly Goodman: complete biography and discography with all her albums and songs

Few voices have shaped worship in Spanish like Lilly Goodman: from Sunday school teacher in Santo Domingo to one of the most recognized Christian singers in Latin America, with hymns such as «Al Final» and «Ven, te necesito» sung in churches across the continent. In this post we tell her complete story and review her entire discography, album by album and song by song. If you want to listen to Lilly Goodman with her videos, here we also tell you where to find her Christian music gathered together.

1. Complete biography

From Sunday school to the stage (1979-2001)

Lilly Goodman, whose real name is Liliana Goodman Meregildo, was born on December 19, 1980 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, into a very musical family in her church. Before devoting herself to music she was a Sunday school teacher and founded and led her church’s worship team. At 17 she began studying Pharmacy, but left the degree to devote herself entirely to music. In 1999 she began recording her first album, Contigo Dios, released in 2001, with songs such as «Iglesia», «No importa», «Puede ser» and «Adicta».

The leap with Vástago Producciones (2002-2008)

In 2002 she joined Vástago Producciones, Jesús Adrián Romero’s label, and recorded Vuelve a Casa (2003) in El Paso, Texas, with «Una vida», «Si puedes creer», «Te necesito más» and «Ven, te necesito», a duet with Romero. In 2005 she was recognized as Female Vocalist of the Year at the New Life Awards in Los Angeles. She was followed by Sobreviviré (2006), with «Cúbreme», «Sin Dolor» and «Alma en Libertad», and Sin Miedo a Nada (2008), the album of «Al Final», her signature song, as well as «Yo Sin Ti» and «El Equipaje».

Maturity, awards and ministry (2009-2025)

In 2009 she won the Premio Arpa for Song of the Year for «Al Final». In 2013 she released Amor Favor Gracia, nominated for the Latin Grammy for Best Christian Album in Spanish, with «Nadie Me Dijo», «Ve por Tu Sueño» and «Me Amas» with Alex Campos. Then came A Viva Voz (2018), recorded live, Cielo (2021), with «Cielo», «Aleluya» with Eli Soares and «Eres el Dios de Lo Imposible», and Me Siento Libre (2025). Married since 2007 to David M. Hegwood, with whom she founded Promesas Producciones, she lives in Dallas, Texas, and is worship pastor and artist in residence at Gateway Church in Southlake. Her powerful, emotional contralto voice made her one of the most beloved voices in Spanish-language Christian music.
