Evan Craft: complete biography and discography with all his albums and songs

Few artists have built a bridge between the English- and Spanish-speaking worlds like Evan Craft: an American singer who sings in Spanish as naturally as someone who studied it in Spain and Costa Rica, who carried the gospel singing in churches, schools and orphanages across Latin America, and who won the Dove Award for Spanish Language Album of the Year with «Desesperado». In this post we tell his complete story and review his entire discography, album by album. If you want to listen to Evan Craft with his videos, here we also tell you where to find his Evan Craft songs all in one place.

1. Complete biography

From Conejo Valley to the guitar (1991-2010)

Evan Kenneth Craft was born in 1991 in Conejo Valley, California, United States. At age 12 he learned to play the guitar and began writing his own songs, and by high school he was already writing and singing with ease. He expanded his Spanish studies at universities in Spain and Costa Rica, an education that became the foundation of his entire bilingual career. Before signing with a label, he independently released his first album, Spotlight (2010), which he sold at his own concerts.

Giants, Yo Soy Segundo and the evangelistic tours (2012-2014)

In 2012 he released his first label studio album, Giants, under Dream Records, and that same year his first Spanish-language album, Yo Soy Segundo, distributed by Universal. The album debuted in the United States at number 1 on Billboard’s Latin Christian Albums chart, at number 10 on Latin Pop Albums and at number 30 on Top Latin Albums. Together with his friends and musicians Sean and Ryan Cook and Nico Aranda, he toured Latin America preaching the gospel in churches, schools and orphanages. In 2014 came his third studio album, Jóvenes Somos, along with a growing YouTube presence that made him one of the new voices of Latin Christian music.

Principio y Fin, Impulso and the Dove Award (2015-2021)

In 2015 he released Principio y Fin, featuring Carlos PenaVega on the title track and collaborations with Danilo Montero, Ingrid Rosario, Seth Condrey and Un Corazón’s Lluvia Richards; the album was nominated for the Dove Award for Spanish Language Album of the Year in 2016. In between he recorded his two acoustic sessions, Sesión Orgánica: Parte 1 (2015) and Sesión Orgánica: Parte 2 (2016). In 2017 came Impulso, his seventh studio album, with Marcos Witt, Alex Campos, Marcela Gándara, Funky and Redimi2, among others, nominated for the Dove Award for Spanish Language Album of the Year in 2018. In December 2019 he released the bilingual single «Faith (Fe)» with Jordan Feliz.

In 2021 he released his double album Desesperado, in Spanish and English, with songs like «Tu Señor» and «Desesperado». The album debuted at number 45 on Billboard’s Top Christian Albums chart and earned him his first Dove Award: Spanish Language Album of the Year at the 52nd GMA Dove Awards. The single «Be Alright», with Danny Gokey and Redimi2, debuted at number 2 on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs and reached number 1 on Christian radio; in 2022 it was nominated for the Dove Award for Song of the Year, and that same year he released its remix with KB and Sam Rivera. In September 2021 he married Rachel Jacoby, and in October he released his next double worship album, Holy Ground in English and Tierra Santa in Spanish.

Chances, Más Rico del Mundo and the current stage (2023-2026)

In 2023 he released two albums in parallel: Chances in English and Más Rico del Mundo in Spanish, with singles like «Fight On My Knees» / «Peleas Por Mí», «Buen Hermano» and «Llámame». In 2024 he released the Christmas EP Al Mundo Paz (Alégrense) and in 2025 the live album Que Cante La Iglesia (Live). Beyond music, he co-founded the Mi Casa homeless shelter in Los Angeles, for which he has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Hope the Mission charity. In 2026 he opened a new stage with the singles «Cristo Vivo» and «Juguetes Rotos», previews of a recording project that will culminate in 2027 with a new album.
