«For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.» — Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV)

THE SCENE OR SITUATION

There are days when life feels like a routine repeating without meaning. The alarm rings, you head to work, you come home tired, you sleep, and the next day it all starts again. In between, the question slips in on its own, quietly, almost with embarrassment: «What is all of this for? Does my life really count for anything?»

And sometimes you feel like just another piece in a huge machine: replaceable, invisible, nameless. Nobody applauds what you do, nobody seems to notice, and weariness whispers that it makes no difference. But I want you to picture something different: a craftsman’s workshop, where every tool has its place and none of them is mere decoration. The craftsman does not keep hammers around by chance: each one was chosen, shaped, and set there with a task in mind. You are not in this world by accident: you are in the hands of a Craftsman who never improvises.

THE LIGHT OF THE WORD

Paul writes in Ephesians 2:10 that we are «His workmanship.» In the original Greek, the word is poiema: that is where «poem» comes from. You are not a mass-produced item or just another copy: you are a masterpiece, a poem written by God Himself. And it goes on: «created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand.»

Read that slowly: your purpose existed before you were born. God did not bring you into this world and then wonder what to do with you; He prepared the good works beforehand, and then He formed you to walk in them. And notice, those good works are not only grand gestures or stages with lights: the glass of water you give, the call to your mother, the forgiveness you offer, the honest work nobody sees. All of that fits into the design. The path is already laid out by God; your part is simply to walk it in faith.

THE PAUSE FOR THE SOUL

Breathe deeply. A craftsman does not throw away the vessel because it has not taken its final shape yet: he works it, polishes it, runs it through his hands again until it is ready. That is how God is with you today. Gray days are not wasted days; they are part of the process in which He is shaping you. You do not have to understand the whole design to trust the Designer.

You are not an accident: you are a project of heaven under construction.

What small, faithful work can you do today, knowing that God already prepared it beforehand for you?

THE PRAYER OF THE DAY

Lord, thank You that I am no coincidence: I am Your masterpiece, created with a purpose. When routine makes me doubt, remind me that You prepared good works for me. Give me eyes to see them and a willing heart to walk in them today. Amen.
