The day before, on Wednesday the 28th, Castellanos distributed copies of the Bible to fellow congress members during the plenary session, a gesture for which she thanked Bible Societies for donating the copies. «You don’t read the Bible, the Bible reads you,» the senator said. The chosen date is no coincidence: it marks the anniversary of the Protestant Reformation, October 31, 1517, when Martin Luther published his 95 Theses. The proposal sparked debate: representative Miguel Grisales objected to bringing religious texts into Congress and defended the secular character of the State. The bill must now go through the legislative process to become law.

Source: Noticia Cristiana

Peru: nearly 40,000 people open the final stage of the MMM Convention in Lima

Nearly 40,000 people took part in the opening of the fourth and final stage of the 2026 National Convention of the World Missionary Movement (MMM), held at the National University of San Marcos Stadium in Lima. Reverend Carlos Medina shared a preaching titled «Hope must rise again». The convention previously visited three regions of the country: Tarapoto, October 8–11; Cusco, October 15–18; and Huaraz, October 22–25. MMM leaders and ministers from all over Peru, including Josué Ascarruz, Luis Meza Bocanegra, Clemente Vergara, José A. Soto and Rodolfo Gonzales Cruz, joined the opening in the capital, where thousands of families gathered to pray and hear the preaching of the Word.

Source: Evangelio Global

Europe: evangelical Christianity fills stadiums and returns to the public square

An unexpected phenomenon is shaping the European landscape: the public, massive re-emergence of evangelical Christianity in a continent long considered post-Christian. Crowded marches, stadium festivals, pastoral congresses and evangelistic campaigns are marking a new cycle of spiritual mobilization that crosses borders.

In Spain, the event The Change 2026 gathered 35,000 people at the Metropolitan Stadium in Madrid, and evangelist Franklin Graham brought together more than 12,000 at the Festival of Hope. In London, thousands of believers marched through the streets in the March for Jesus, reviving an initiative that had not been held for 25 years. In Belarus, the Festival of Hope drew more than 30,000 people, and in Germany, Latin Pentecostal leaders from across Europe met to coordinate mission strategies alongside their German colleagues. The International Anglican Network has placed church planting and the re-evangelization of the continent at the center of its agenda. The report also notes the debate: some media read these gatherings through a political lens, while others point out that the mobilization reflects a growing plurality in the European public square. The challenge, analysts conclude, is not to fill stadiums but to fill lives with Christ.

Source: Evangélico Digital

Norway: 36 Christian groups sign a joint statement on gender, marriage and childhood

Thirty-six Christian groups in Norway — Baptists, Pentecostals, Free Lutherans and organizations such as Operation Mobilisation, the student movement Laget and the Norwegian Lutheran Mission — launched a joint statement to clarify a Christian position on marriage, «gender diversity» and children’s rights.

The document, based on the Bible as the Word of God, stresses that «God created human beings male and female» and that marriage is a divine institution uniting one man and one woman.
